Cookie Policy

A plain-English cookie policy for the current product state: essential cookies first, no advertising cookie claim, and clear ePrivacy TODOs before launch.

Effective date: May 10, 2026

1. Current cookie position

OpenAttention currently expects to use essential cookies or similar storage for login, session security and product operation.

The current product scope does not require third-party advertising cookies. If analytics or marketing cookies are added later, this policy and consent controls must be updated first.

2. Essential cookies

Essential cookies help keep users signed in, protect account sessions, remember security state and operate authenticated workflows.

These cookies are necessary for the service and are not used to create fake audience claims or sell personal data.

3. Analytics and performance

If OpenAttention adds analytics, they should be configured to collect the least data needed to understand product reliability and page performance.

Where consent is required under ePrivacy or local law, non-essential analytics should wait until consent is collected.

4. Payment and infrastructure providers

Stripe, hosting, database, email or security providers may set their own cookies or use similar technologies when their services are loaded or used.

Those providers are responsible for their own cookie disclosures, and OpenAttention should link or reference them where relevant.

5. Managing cookies

Users can control cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, checkout, dashboard access or secure account workflows from working.

TODO before launch: add the final cookie contact email and any consent-management details if non-essential cookies are introduced.

6. EU ePrivacy note

The EU ePrivacy framework generally requires consent before storing or accessing non-essential information on a user's device.

OpenAttention should keep essential cookies separate from optional analytics or marketing cookies so consent can be handled clearly.
